James Rosenquist clearly expressed my theory of men and how they think in his work titled "Waves" (1977), which is why I chose to work with that. While the female may be thinking about one thing the male may be thinking of something way more contrast. This is why I chose to put the image of the girl and the guy kissing in one color and unanimated to show as though time froze in mid-kiss to show what they were thinking. I also chose to make the lips come out of the head of the girl as a thought would. I was primarily attracted to the image of kissing because it shows the difference between Rosenquist's "Waves" and my "The Thought in a Kiss." Sometimes a kiss is more than what it seems.
