"On Site / In Situ," an 8-week after-school program for high school students, met at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum's Sackler Center for Arts Education in spring of 2005.

Held in conjunction with the exhibition of contemporary artist Daniel Buren’s installation and exhibition, “Eye of the Storm” (2005), students explored the work of Daniel Buren, discussing ways that the artist challenged and engaged the Frank Lloyd Wight-designed architecture of the Guggenheim Museum.

After examining Buren’s oeuvre, students then proposed their own artist interventions in and around the site of the Guggenheim Museum. Using architecture software called SketchUp and Adobe PhotoShop, students rendered their proposals in 3-D and presented their projects to friends and family on June 7, 2005 in the New Media Theater at the Sackler Center for Arts Education.
