I was inspired by David Smith’s work. I did that by adding the squares and circles to the Motorcycle’s back end. Like David Smith made his sculptures with figures toppling over the end. I was inspired by David Smith’s “think pieces” where he spray painted different figures that looked like it was falling and I tried, successfully, doing so on mine.
I used transparent colors because it seemed like if I had it that way you would be able to see the sculpture and all its elements. When I thought of a setting where I would see a Harley Motorcycle, I thought of an open desert with a few trees and plants - like something similar to a road trip. I used a final picture from a Google search for my background. |
