We chose to explore the duality of war and peace because it is a very real, and serious topic, and the United States is currently at war with Iraq. For our representation of war, we tried to find something that would provide some comic relief, while depicting war as the gory-gruesome-death monger it is. For peace, we attempted to explore the concept of universal serenity by using symbols that unmistakably represent tranquility and the happiness while all is calm.
