The duality I chose to explore is civilization/nature. I picked this duality because civilization is key to a successful society and nature is also important because it provides us with things we need in order to survive. Although this duality has two opposites, both are needed in order for one to work out, i.e. without nature people would have no natural resources and without civilization nature would not be a suitable home. The symbols that represent nature are a flower, a tree, and a butterfly, because they are forms that can be found in nature just about anywhere in the world. For civilizations, I used buildings and roads because they were used thousands of years ago and still today.
